Although the larger majority of gamers don't care about offline features, many people including myself would like to know information about offline play, bots, split-screen etc. If you don't play offline then thats fine, no point writing a stupid comment about how I should have faster internet or why do I play offline in 2020.

Black Ops 1 doesn't support offline play, aside from campaign and solo zombies (it's the first CoD game with official bot support, albeit with online requirement). CoD 4 and WaW on PC were released before activision decided to adopt steamworks features for CoD franchise; and that's why offline play isn't complicated at all for these two games
