Similarly, the EF-S lens mount can be used with Canon cropped APS-C DSLR Camera but not with the full-frame DSLR. They both can be paired with the Canon full-frame R and M series with the help of an adapter. Q. What are the differences between Canon EF and EF-S lenses? EF-S is the derivative of EF lens mount and compact size of the same. But

Having no optics in the adapter means no loss of image quality. The same is also true for users of EOS M-series cameras with the EF-M lens mount who want to use EF or EF-S lenses - though EF-M has a shorter flange distance (18mm) than RF does (20mm), so you can't adapt EF-M lenses to the EOS R body without using optics.
EF vs EF-S doesn't change the field of view (perspective). The field of view is determined by the focal length with respect to the image sensor size. A 80 mm lens on a full-frame will have the same field of view as a 50mm lens on a cropped sensor.

15-85, 10-22 and all others EF-S lenses will be perfectly usable on R7. So "problem solved" although the adapter will be needed until Canon will come with more genuine RF-S WA and some UWA lenses. I have the 15-85mm, 10-18mm, 17-55mm, 55-250mm STM, and even an 18-55mm f/4.0-5.6 EF-S lenses I will enjoy using on the R7.

has built-in optical image stabilization. Canon EF-S 15-85mm F/3.5-5.6 IS USM. Canon EF-S 17-85mm F/4-5.6 IS USM. Optical image stabilization uses gyroscopic sensors to detect the vibrations of the camera. The lens adjusts the optical path accordingly, ensuring that any type of motion blur is corrected before the sensor captures the image.
The EOS R series requires an EF/EF-S-RF Mount adapter to use those lenses. Note NOT all adapted DSLR lenses fully support all features on the EOS R Series. -Demetrius. The good news is, photographers can still use their EF and EF-S lenses on any of Canon’s new mirrorless cameras if they first purchase an adapter. There are a few adapters available, two of which are the Canon Mount Adapter EF-EOS R and the Canon Control Ring Mount Adapter EF-EOS R. As the name indicates, the difference between the two is
